Geek Ride (Silicon Valley History of Computing)

Want to get a bird’s-eye view of the birthplace of modern computing? We’ll provide you an aerial tour of some of the famous landmarks in Silicon Valley—starting with Oracle, which is less than a mile from San Carlos Airport. You’ll get a glimpse of Steve Job’s garage where he and Wozniak built their first Apple; and a look at the Hewlett Packard garage. We’ll give you a quick tour of the first giants of the industry—Intel, Microsoft, Sun, and HP—and a look at the modern players, Apple, Cisco, eBay, and Google. You’ll fly over The Dish, Stanford’s radio telescope, and SLAC (Stanford Linear Accelerator Center) in Palo Alto, which will give you a great view of Stanford’s beautiful campus. An ink-stained pocket protector in your possession is required for admission to this magic carnival ride!
