Famous Faults and Earthquakes Tours |
 |
| |
The Bay Area is riddled with fault lines—and the people who live here think that’s something to be proud of. The many faults of the area have certainly created one of the most beautiful coastlines in the world.
Take a ride around anyone of several Bay Area faults—the famous San Andreas fault, the Hayward Fault (voted most likely to blow in the next five years by the people who ought to know), the Rodgers Creek Fault, the Concord-Green Valley Fault, the Greenville Fault, the San Gregorio Fault, and the Calaveras Fault. We will help you plan a tour that focuses on East Bay, North Bay, or Peninsula faults, and we’ll give you a little history of the area while we fly.
If you’d like more information before you go, check out the US Geological Survey site for information about earthquakes in Northern California.
For a preliminary look at the Hayward Fault and its eccentricies, check out the Google Earth Project of the Hayward Fault, also available at USGS.
